6 TIPS TO HELP YOU STAY HYDRATED

By now most of us know that there are vital benefits of drinking enough water, yet many of us often fall short. It doesn’t help that trying to drink more water can seem boring, repetitive, and sometimes, a little torturous. Since adequate hydration is so crucial, here are 6 valuable tips to help make it a little easier.

1. SPICE UP YOUR WATER

Add a little bit of excitement to your water with many variants. Try adding fresh fruits and vegetables, like lemon, strawberries, mint, cucumber, or ginger.

2. LET TECHNOLOGY HELP

Lately, for many of us, using apps has changed the way we see, do, and interact with things, so why not take advantage of that! Keeping track of how many glasses or ounces of water you have consumed each day can be as easy and fun as taping on your phone. Best yet, you won’t have to spend any money to do this since many apps like Daily Water are FREE!

3. PRACTICE THE ONE-TO-ONE RULE

This famous drinking rule establishes that for every cocktail you drink, you must have a glass of water. While this doesn’t mean upping your cocktail intake in order to hit the correct amount of daily water, it’s a great strategy since you’ll be drinking more water and staying hydrated. Fun games can help boost your inner motivation and serve as great reminders during the day.

6. REWARD YOURSELF

Even the smallest thing can trigger you to accomplish something. It makes you try harder until you hit your goal. Make a rule that if you hit your daily, weekly, or monthly goal, you will treat yourself with something.
